Agile cities: Advanced digital skills for agile micro cities




PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND JUSTIFICATION

During the period from 28th of December 2018 till 30th January of 2019, LLC “Dynamic University”, in cooperation with the municipality of Valmiera city, and the City Council of Ventspils, developed a project application for “Agile cities: Advanced digital skills for agile micro cities” for the European Commission initiative “Urban Innovative Activities” (hereinafter - UIA).

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

The “Urban Innovative Activities” initiative was launched in 2015 in aims to find and test innovative solutions for the sustainable development of European cities.

The following activities were carried out within the development of the project application:

  1. A project application for “Perspective Digital Skills for Dynamic Small Cities” has been developed, which included the following activities:
  • Developing a justification for project innovation based on pre-developed municipal ideas and available research and materials, in accordance with the requirements of the programme, the identification of the primary strategic documents on which to justify the novelty of the project idea;
  • Developing a project partnership by preparing an overview of the project partnership, strengths and justifications of it, defining the role of project partners and the framework for cooperation;
  • Identifying the objectives and scale of the project with clear, quantified results;
  • Budgeting of the project in accordance with the requirements of the program.
  1. Active communication and cooperation with all partners involved has been carried out during the development of the application.
  2. The final version of the project application has been drawn up and the project application has been submitted to the electronic exchange platform, in accordance with the criteria of the European Commission's project initiative.
