Head of the Centre for University Continuing Education and Educational Management at the Department for Continuing Education Research and Educational Management at Danube University Krems (DUK), Austria. Academic Director of MARIHE – Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education – Erasmus Mundus Programme.

Attila Pausits has been involved in many international research projects related to the modernisation and development of higher education. He is an expert for higher education management and change management. He was also involved in development projects especially at the Western Balkan region to improve student employability, student counselling and guidance, as well as alumni management. He is recently involved in development activities of student services and modernisation of higher education in Eastern Europe and Africa.

Dr. Pausits is a guest lecturer at many international universities across Europe. His resent research focus is on real time university, continuing education and professional development.

Primary competences or areas of professional interest relate to lifelong learning and adult education, curriculum development, research development and management, internationalisation of higher education, higher education services and relationship management, university third mission development, organisational development, leadership in higher education.
